Our story
From a university idea to one of Debrecen's development teams.
The goal was to create a workplace everyone is happy to come to, and to show that software development can be done differently. We still look for projects that make people's everyday lives better.
2008
First meeting
Lajos Cselle and Imre Ujlaki meet at the University of Debrecen and start planning their own IT company.
2013
The start
They begin working together on the side, building custom web and mobile applications.
2014
Rebellion Software Kft.CodeYard Kft.We found our first company under the name Rebellion Software Kft. Why did it need a new name so quickly? Let's not go there… Long story short, that's how CodeYard Kft. was born.
2016
Our own mentoring programme
We give career starters the chance to learn the fundamentals of software development and join the team.
2017
Lovable Workplace award
A special prize in the Employer Branding category. Around the same time we start our own product, motivac.io, which has since grown into a separate company.
2020
CodeYard Factory
We start building a software developer community with meetups and professional events, because giving something back to the developer community matters to us.
Today
Long-term partnerships
Award-winning Hungarian startups such as Xeropan, InSimu, BlockBen and Benker launched with our help. We've been working with Xeropan for more than ten years.
