Custom software development shaped around your business.

We build business software where off-the-shelf tools fall short: we connect your CRM, ERP and other systems, and bring in AI where it genuinely saves time or money. CodeYard has been building custom software since 2013, with 200+ projects behind us.

SAP Business One integration

When is it worth it?

When the software should fit the company, not the other way round.

Most companies start with off-the-shelf software, and rightly so. Past a certain point, though, the CRM, the ERP, invoicing and the web shop become islands, and the manual work between them slows things down and causes errors. What you need then is not another boxed tool, but business software that follows the way you actually work.

As a custom software development company, that is the gap we fill: we build new systems, connect existing ones and, where it makes sense, add AI-driven automation to the process. We don't sell AI packages: we look at where it creates real business value, and only recommend it there.

Typical situations

  • You enter the same data into several systems by hand
  • You have an ERP or CRM, but your field team has no good interface for it
  • A key piece, such as a mobile app or partner portal, is missing
  • Repetitive, rule-based tasks eat up your team's time
  • An old system needs replacing while the company keeps working

What we build

Business software, integration and automation.

A new system from scratch, an extension to an existing one, or the bridge between them. The goal is always the same: less manual work, reliable data, faster decisions.

  • Custom business software

Systems for sales, order management, field work or internal approvals, built around your processes.

  • ERP integration

New interfaces on your existing ERP. The Trafik Expressz tablet app, B2B web shop and mobile app all run on one SAP Business One back end.

  • CRM integration

Customer data, sales steps and communication connected to your other systems, with no manual syncing.

  • AI automation

AI features and workflows for repetitive, rule-based or data-heavy tasks, where the return is measurable.

  • System replacement and migration

Replacing an outdated system with data migration while you keep running, as we did moving gotomarketing off WordPress.

  • Connecting external systems

Integrating public, industry or partner systems, like the Xeropan integration with KRÉTA, Hungary's school administration system.

How we work

First we understand the process, then we write code.

Integration and custom software projects rarely fail on technology. Far more often they fail because nobody wrote down exactly what flows where. So that's where we start.

  • Process map

We map who does what, where each piece of data comes from and where it goes, before we propose anything.

  • Working with other teams

We work flexibly alongside your ERP partner or in-house IT, with shared interfaces and clear responsibilities.

  • Controlled rollout

Testing on real data and a staged switchover, so the business keeps running undisturbed.

  • Measurable return

We only recommend AI and automation where they demonstrably save time or cost.

Our process

How we work

A predictable process with clear milestones, from discovery to long-term support.

  1. 01. step: Business and technical discovery

We get to know your business goal, your current processes and the technical constraints before we talk about any solution.

  2. 02. step: Specification and solution design

We put together a concrete, documented plan: what we build, with which technology, on what timeline.

  3. 03. step: Iterative development

We work in short cycles with regular feedback points, so anything that needs correcting shows up early.

  4. 04. step: Testing and rollout

Thorough testing and a controlled rollout make sure live use goes smoothly.

  5. 05. step: Long-term support

Delivery is not the end, it is just the beginning. We maintain, extend and scale the system through your next business stage too.

FAQ

What people ask before a custom software project

If your question isn't here, bring it to our first conversation.

  1. 01

How much does custom software development cost?

It depends on the size of the system, the number of integrations and the state of your existing systems, so we don't give a number up front. We start with a free consultation, and after the specification you get a fixed plan and schedule that sets out the scope of the project.

  2. 02

When is custom software worth it over an off-the-shelf product?

When your processes are specific, when you move data between systems by hand, or when the limits of boxed software are slowing your growth. If an existing tool covers your needs well, we'll tell you.

  3. 03

Can you connect to our existing ERP or CRM?

Yes, integration projects are where we have the most experience. The Trafik Expressz sales system, for example, runs on Firelight Kft's existing SAP Business One ERP, and Xeropan is connected to KRÉTA, Hungary's school administration system.

  4. 04

Where should we introduce AI in our company?

Repetitive, rule-based or data-heavy processes are the first place to look. During discovery we show you where AI really saves time or cost, and where it would just be following a trend.

  5. 05

How long does custom development take?

Discovery and specification typically take 1–1.5 months, and an MVP usually ships in 3–4 months. The length of the full project depends on the size of the system, and we set it out in the specification.

  6. 06

Can you replace our old system without downtime?

Yes, we plan migrations so the company can keep working. For gotomarketing.hu we moved members, content and subscriptions to the new platform while the service kept running.
